It's harder and harder now-a-days to promote affiliate products online, especially through email. Using ezines was once a super good way of advertising but with the over abundance of spam online, email marketing has become increasingly difficult. There are a few things you can do however to combat the overly aggressive email marketing tactics used by others.
Instead of making everything a sales pitch, make things into articles. So instead of saying "New product launch!!!" you can say "New affiliate marketing articles." Think about it... When do people ever see something like that. It's very rare; if you can come off as the information barer in your ads, then it really won't seem like an ad at all. This works especially well when writing or sending out solo ads for ezines and newsletters.
In your articles you want to give quality info, followed up by a light sales pitch, like what you would do if you were writing for an article directory. People are turning away from the old fashioned hard sale; if you can give them quality and look like you know what you're talking about, then others will start to follow you.
You may be thinking, "Solo ads cost too much, I'm not going to waste money to give people an article!" Then fine, just write articles and send them to ezine owners; I'm just trying to get the message across that when you give someone something that they don't expect, then they'll appreciate the genuineness of your marketing.
