It is difficult to admit that your website is not performing well. We know website development takes a lot of energy and process to make a feature-rich product. And the thought of starting this process again can be daunting. But if your website is not working well, it is time you need a revamp. Here are a few signs which will let you know that you need a website redesign:

· The fall in conversion rate

· Sales or leads are down

· Unresponsive website (not mobile friendly)

· Not matching with your company reputation

· Not ranking on Google

· The website is difficult to manage and has an obsolete CMS

If your site is not showing growth then chances are that you are long overdue for a redesign. The main goal of any e-commerce website is to convert visitors into customers and if your site structure is a barrier in that, it needs to be fixed immediately. Identifying the problems that are obstructing your site from being conducive to conversion is an important thing to do.

Here are a few reasons why a redesign should become a priority for your company's web presence and if any of these points are true, then go for a redesign.

Poor user experience

Sometimes we implement a lot of options which can create a different experience for the user. So, if your user don’ like your site and find it confusing to navigate, they will experience a bad time. Sometimes the ideal way to find usability problems is to ask your visitors to identify the pain points of the site and barriers between them and completing a transaction. Through Analytics information by looking at bounce rates and exit point, you can get the quantitative information and user surveys and targeted market research can help you get the qualitative information. If the site usability problems are obstructing your sales or lead generation than a site redesign can fix the problem.

The site doesn't play well with mobile traffic

More and more users access pages through different web-enabled devices and if you don't have a site version that is optimized for that experience, chances are visitors will go somewhere else that allows them to browse smoothly.

Poor branding

Check colors, logo, content, and all textual information, as it will help to form a brand image. Also, if your website is interactive I will grab more visitors. A website that doesn’t support your brand will not be effective in turning visitors on to what you have to offer and will not lead to a long-lasting business.

Too much time for troubleshooting the technical end of your site

When you spend more time fixing technical aspects than you do on optimizing, then it's time to look into new hosting options, content management systems, shopping cart programs, or the entire framework and navigation for your website.

Google and other search engines cannot find the website

If the search engine bots are unable to find you, then the real-life people will able as well. You have to check that does your page structure and navigation match your top searched keywords? And is your site SEO friendly? Make sure the top-selling products are represented well with good photos, product descriptions, and helpful customer reviews.

Ranking on the first page is a must, as only 6% of the users check the second page of search engine results.
