Seeing Nokia Lumia 900 flying high, mobile phone experts have started speculating whether MS Windows Phone would defeat Apple iPhones by 2015. According to research carried out by HIS I Suppli, the market of Windows phone will grow up to 16.7% in 2015. Presently Windows phones occupy only 1.9% share of gadget market, but we hope by the end of 2012 it will increase up to 9%, 15.3% in 2013 and 16.7 by the end of 2015. But do you know how this prediction has been supported by HIS iSuppli? In fact, IHS iSuppli gives credits to Nokia that has partnership with Microsoft. Taking in to account the growing sale of Nokia Lumia 900, IHS anticipates that the Lumia 900 will rule half of the sales of Windows Phone in 2012. A senior analyst for wireless communications at HIS praises the device saying, “Nokia Lumia 900 which shown at the Consumer Electronics Show is one of the hottest smart phone from the Nokia which will prove itself to be a catalyst in the mobile phone world. This Windows operating smart phone is stuffed with flashy features imbued with cutting edge technology.” He further added that Nokia Lumia 900 is no less than the first step of Nokia to regain its market share. This hottest product and its successors will also materialize Nokia’s effort to run the development of the Windows Phone ecosystem and reclaim No.2 position in smart phones market in 2015.Seeing the trend of market, anybody can expect that Nokia’s support applications will help Windows platform to rise high. Hence, other mobile phone manufacturers such as HTC, Samsung and Apple will have to invent more powerful OS for their devices. As a result the market will expand and competition will increase. But Nokia with Windows OS is not alone in the race of getting number 1 or number 2 positions, Android is also there. Android OS also expects to rule market by 2015. As for now, Android has 47.4% share in the market and it expects to jump up to 55.9 % in 2012 and 57.8% by the end of 2015 grabbing 58.1% share in the market. All in all, Widows Phone and iPhone OSes will be passing through cut throat competition in years to come.AUTHOR:
