| It seems every house has a computer with Internet connection. Schools are getting more and more work done on computers. You need to be very involved with your children's online activity. There are three things I would like to share with you in this article. One is an online predator; two is safety tips and the third is safety education.Protect your kid from online predators. First set up some rules with your child to not respond to inappropriate chatting or emails. Take your child seriously if they have an issue with someone online. Here are some simple safety tips you can keep within your control.The best way to keep an active account of what your kids are doing on the computer is place the computer in the front room. This way you can physically see what they are looking at and they don't need privacy you're the adult. You can also set parental controls on the computer blocking certain sites and limiting the time they can be on the computer. Once you do that you should also sit down and talk with your kids to educate them about the dangers of the Internet.Let them know that when they enter a chat room that 47% of the people in that chat room are pedophiles. Tell them that at any time they are online there are 5 million pedophiles online with them. Help them understand that pedophiles target kids of the age of 14 77% of the time and 10 to 13 year olds 22% of the time.Being on the Internet can be fun and educational. But like anything in this world there are dangers that people should be aware of. This article is nowhere near comprehensive enough about online predators.
