| Where does it come from? I'm sure this is a question that we all wonder at some point in our lives. The answer is that the solar panel derived from what is called a solar cell. A solar cell is a device that converts the light from the sun its rays into energy by electricity. The process in doing this is called photovoltaic. To break it down the cells create energy by receiving the light from the suns rays and thus creating electricity. When you have this process continuing over and over again and combine the cells together on one large panel this is where the solar panel comes in. Individual solar cells do not give off that much energy but connected to where they combine there energy with other solar cells and they can give off quite a bit of energy at one time.NASA uses these kind of panels on there space ships and in satellites because the solar panels last longer and do not have to be repaired as often as other material. Other businesses are starting to learn more and more about going green and helping the environment. Using these is a good way to do this. The reason being is because it cuts down on the electricity being used through out there place of business and also allows for them to say they are a green company as well.Solar cells and solar panels came as early as 1822 and ever since the researching of the global warming the use of the sun its power started to become the trend that hasn't stopped. A trend usually wears itself out but with the earth being in turmoil and more and more people going green in there homes makes the solar panels a good term to use.The question is then why do you buy these more environment friendly panels? You buy them because it is good for the earth and the environment in which we live. The next reason is because solar panels create energy from the sun and the sun is a renewable source as to where other sources are just short term. For example gasoline is not a renewable source because they can only make gasoline if they find the resources from drilling to make it. Once those resources run out then the gasoline runs out eventually. That's why there is a lot of hype of solar paneled powered cars and hybrids because the gasoline is not a renewable source.Be careful as to where you get your panels as some may be considered to be false. If you do your research and research each company you are using then you'll find that most of these companies that you are buying them from have been in the industry for a long time and are trustworthy and honest about the products that they sell. Going green is easy and will always help the environment and save you money in the long run. |
