The country is the second largest populated country on earth and it ranks second after China.The Total Population: 930 million people.Geographic Size: 1.2 million square miles.Capital of the country: New DelhiMajor Cities along with the population: New Delhi and Delhi Region (7 million), Mumbai (13 million), Kolkata (11 million), Chennai (6 million), Bangalore and Kanpur.Geographic Landmarks of IndiaIndia is the country which is structured in the form of peninsula where Arabian Sea is on west, Bay of Bengal on the east and Indian Ocean in the south. The Himalayan ranges are the mountains that separates India from the rest parts of Asia and China. The major landmarks in the country is divided into the various zones of the country like the landmarks of the North India are Golden Temple, Taj Mahal, Monasteries of Ladakh, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri and Sikandra. Similarly if take a glimpse of West India, we can get numerous of forts and palaces like Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Amber Fort, Junagarh Fort, Golden Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Chittorgarh Fort, Mehrangarh Fort, Somnath, Gateway of India, The Elephanta Cave, Ajanta Cave, Ellora and the Churches of Goa. The Central India is also having certain places to be seen like Sanchi and Khajuraho. East India is also known for some places like Bodh Gaya, Temples of Bhubneshwara, Puri, Konark. South India in the same ways is having major tourist attractions like Hampi, Pattadakal, Chola Temple, Mahabalipuram, Kanchipuram, Charminar, Gomateshwara Temple, Meenakshi Temple.Points of Interest:There are many tourist spots in India which are famous for the archaeological designs like Taj Mahal which was built in the year 1632 and 1653 by the Mughal Empire. Indian art also includes the temple of Khajuraho which is a must see destination of India.Major Industries:Agricultural industries in India is the largest of all the industry which involves the two-third of the population. The key crops that are grown in India are rice, cotton, wheat, jute, barley, tea, coffee and rubber. India also possess the one of the largest textile industry.Population and Culture:The total population of the country is about 930 million and is covers around 15% of the world population. This criteria makes the country densely populated. In India the major things that controls the living standard of the country is the Caste System. Apart from all these the other thing is that the economy of India is one of the largest growing economies of the world.Indian Climate:As like the culture and people of India the climate of the country also depends upon the zones of the country. The Northern part of the country is relatively cooler and the regions of the Northern India is having the seasonal temperatures. The parts of South India is hot and dry.
