At almost any time of the year there's a religious or secular holiday. Some are federal holidays, recognized by all Americans when they wake up to face a day with no garbage collection, no visit from the mailman and no way to do in-person banking. It usually coincides with a day off, so no one really sees it as a problem. It is the celebratory personal days mixed in that can create problems for every one of us; a birthday here, an anniversary there, a graduation, a sweet sixteen, a bar mitzvah, you know, the ones where you're required to purchase a gift. Now you have to start making decisions. What gift will you be getting? What are you willing to spend? Where will you get it? The important thing is that it has to be shopped for and purchased. With the economy being what is today, everyone takes a cautious approach when it comes to spending. There are also people like me, arguably the leading, world-class, gift-buying procrastinator of all time. For one reason or another, walking through the stores doesn't seem to be too rewarding a way for me to spend my time, so rather than grin and bear it, I put it off.Logically, if any person should find themselves that busy, that lazy, or that much of a procrastinator, surely they can find enough time to shop on the internet. To someone like me who's comfortable sitting at the computer, the internet sounds like a really good choice. So where do I begin? I guess I should just sit down and start thinking of gifts, punch the right keywords into the search area and just sit there until I get a store that has what I think I'm looking for and hope that it's the place that will give me the best bang for my buck, even if it takes me all night.Or, you could do what's easiest : Find a single, one-stop shopping site that works to solve all the problems we all face in buying anything on the internet. One location with access to all the stores containing all the categories you'd find most interesting, where you can locate anything you want, either by price, by brand, or by store. You can go there, settle in and shop 'til you drop. It's today's easiest way to let your typing fingers do your traveling and an extra boon to the many procrastinators among us.
