Have you been there... about to go on stage, to give a talk to a group of your peers? They are a group of co-workers or the Booster club or maybe the Networking group you are a member of and it is your turn to give your spotlight... You have 5 - 7 minutes to speak but you have the butterflies in a big way. You almost want to get sick in the restroom. Why are you so nervous? What is holding you back? These people are your friends for the most part. They want to see you be effective in your presentation. So why are you looking at yourself with expectation of failure or at least worry that you might flop? What would it be like to not have to worry at all when you stand up to speak? Vision yourself standing up at the Podium with confidence and a talk that is electrifying. Your audience is on the edge of their seat... listening to every word. You are engaging, asking questions and the group is responding. You have some funny ways of saying things and the crowd laughs at all of your jokes on queue. You get a standing ovation. I know you might think that is out of the question and that it couldn't happen to you... but your subconscious doesn't know the difference between real or imagined. Your success will come from these areas: * You need to see yourself as successful before you stand on stage.
* The next thing is to make sure you are ready for the talk.
* Ask the question "What does this audience need to hear not what do I need to say."
* Pick 5 people to speak to no matter how big the audience.
* Remember your audience wants you to be effective, not perfect! For more information contact
