Flexibility is defined as the ability to adjust to different state of affairs or the skill to easily bend an entity. Flexibility is the outermost range of progress in a joint, or a mixture of joints, that is possible in a momentary effort. Flexibility is related to specific body joints and not whole body. In other words, it is a legend that some people are naturally flexible throughout their entire body. Flexibility is related to range of muscle movement around our joints. Flexibility is also related to mobility and suppleness of our joints.Dynamic, static-active and static-passive are the three major types of flexibility. Dynamic flexibility is the ability to attain a ceiling range of motion of the joint while performing a movement. In simple words this type of flexibility is exhibited in walking, running, or participating in physical activity. Static-active is equated more to the general stretching earlier to performing exercise, such as bending over and touching your toes (without bouncing). at last, static-passive flexibility is the range of motion achieved by the joint structure when an outside force such as another person or equipment assists the movement. When performing any stretch:-One should start every stretch slowly at the same exhaling to attain better flexibility -Try to hold each stretch for at least 10 to 30 seconds. Evade these stretching mistakes: -Don't spring back a stretch. Holding a stretch is more helpful and there is less risk of injury.
-Don't stretch a muscle that is not warmed up.
-Don't hold your breath to have a proper flexibility. Flexibility is the one thing that everyone can do that is a safe way to increase sports performance or prevent injury. Bear in mind to ease into your stretches and control the motion by holding the stretch between 10 and 30 seconds. Stretch two or more times a day for best results.
The flexibility types are different for different people and movements based on their need like for sports, work, or normal routine activities in a day. The major benefits from flexibility are-Better blood circulation in the body
-Fewer injuries to the body
-Easy and more movements in the body without any strain It should be noted that each joint has certain range of flexibility. Some people are more flexible and some more tight, so the extreme one needs more careful flexibility training. A person shape is not the deciding factor for flexibility. Yoga and stretching helps to increase flexibility in one's body.
