      The Chastain Park area of Atlanta is located on the northern side of Buckhead and borders the south side Sandy Springs. Chastain Park is one of the most popular areas of the Atlanta real estate market. Chastain Park itself is the largest park in Atlanta and is home to a golf course, numerous ball fields, swimming an equestrian center and the most famous activity, the amphitheater, which hosts music venues of all types from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra to the summer concert series with popular rock concerts, jazz artists and international musicians.Chastain Park real estate has seen a significant change over the last few years in which time many older brick ranch homes have been purchased, demolished and replaced with some of the finest new construction luxury homes anywhere in Atlanta. The Chastain Park real estate market has been able to weather the slowdown better than most other areas in Atlanta because of the fantastic location, excellent schools and numerous outdoor activities associated with the park that create a lifestyle that continues to make Chastain Park a desirable place to call home. Another reason that makes Chastain Park real estate such a desirable location is the lush canopy of mature hardwoods that create the environmental landscape. It literally looks as though homes are carefully placed in between the existing landscape without the destruction and clear cutting associated with so many neighborhoods. There is also very little traffic because all of the surrounding areas are residential.The tricky part about finding Chastain Park homes for sale is that many real estate agents list Chastain Park real estate for sale in different ways. Sometimes you can find these homes listed for sale in Buckhead, other times real estate agents will list them in Sandy Springs and yet other times they are listed for sale in Atlanta. So finding these homes can be difficult as there is isn't a uniform method used to enter them into the local MLS, FMLS.If you are looking for Chastain Park real estate and searching homes for sale, you might find it easier to search for homes by selecting a school district or zip code. Most homes fall into either the 30305 or 30327 zip code and the most likely school districts that homes will be located in are Sarah Smith and Warren Jackson. While there are still some excellent values for homes around Chastain Park, virtually all of the new homes begin at prices over $1,000,000.
