We visited Copenhagen in December and stayed at the Avenue Hotel in Copenhagen Denmark.Upon arrival at Copenhagen Airport we caught a bus into Copenhagen which stopped outside the hotel. The hotel is located about a fifteen minute walk from the city centre on a wide road which was busy during rush hour but is well insulated from traffic noise.Upon arrival at the hotel we were warmly welcomed and directed to our room on the third floor. The Avenue Hotel is a boutique hotel with sixty eight bedrooms. We had an A-Plus room which was larger than a standard room. It was well equipped with modern furnishings including a flat screen TV , sofa, mini bar but no tea or coffee making facilities. Our bathroom had a bath in it with a shower above but we were advised some of the rooms just have showers. The Avenue Hotel serves an excellent continental breakfast with a wide selection of meats, cereals, fruit, bread and drinks. The hotel has a beautiful lounge bar with comfy sofas in the lounge area and an inviting imitation log fire with candles lit in the evening where a drink can be enjoyed with a light meal. There are numerous books to read in the lounge. The hotel provides secured parking at the rear of the hotel. There is a patio area with wood decking at the rear of the hotel where, in warm weather, you can sit outside and enjoy a coffee. The staff at this boutique hotel in Copenhagen Denmark are friendly, courteous and professional making you most welcome.Whatever your reason for visiting Copenhagen find the time to visit the Tivoli Gardens in an evening leading up to Christmas. Whether you have children or not you will find the experience truly magical.Enjoy!Alan Hope runs a lifestyle management and concierge service business for both UK and Overseas clients.
