Drug enforcement agency or DEA which stands for Drug Enforcement Administration is a federal law enforcement agency that comes under the Justice Department. If you want to become a DEA agent you have to be prepared to adjust to a gritty lifestyle. A polygraph test, a drug test and background investigation is conducted to confirm your statements regarding your past drug use. Once you clear these tests which take almost 12 months you stand a chance to get employed. This will be followed by 16 week training in Quantico, Virginia where the DEA training academy is located.
