Learning Reiki from a competent reiki master teacher will give you the most benefit. However, finding a good, suitable and competent reiki master teacher could sometimes become a tricky decision. Here are 5 simple tips to find the best one for you:
1. Ask around
The first thing and easiest thing to do is ask around. Ask your friends, your family members or anybody who had experience with reiki before. Ask how comfortable she or he is with the master teacher.
2. Go Online
Internet is probably the best source of information available now. Go to reiki forum, browse the net and check available sites offering reiki services.
3. Contact her or him personally
Contact her or him directly, by phone or by email. Communicate with her or him and you will get more information about her. You will sense it right away whether she or he is the right master teacher for you.
4. Check her or his credentials
Your relationship with your reiki master teacher is unique. This is a long term and everlasting relationship. You want to make sure that she or he is the right person to give you the initiation. His facebook is one good way to investigate his credentials. The other good way to check her or his credentials is to check his reiki lineage. We have to make sure that he or she learned from the credible master teacher and lineage.
5. Follow your instinct
This is probably the hardest, but sometimes the easiest tips. Your higher self knows what's best for you. If you are in doubt, take a minute or two to relax, ask yourself whether this master teacher is the right one for you. Trust your instinct.
