With the holiday season approaching, undoubtedly you will send out holiday greeting cards to everyone you know: your family, your friends, colleagues, loved-ones, and acquaintances.

Soon you'll start looking to buy some Christmas postage stamps for your greeting cards. Now here's an idea: Have you ever considered designing your very own Christmas postage stamps? Sure, stamps with pictures of Santa, Rudolph, Frosty, or a Christmas tree are nice. But what if these simply just don't reflect the message or the ton you wish to convey when sending out your Christmas cards? What if there don't exist any postage stamps that truly reflect the message you are trying to convey?

If you design your own Christmas postage stamp, you have the freedom to design it however you choose. You can include a photograph of people, places, or things that mean something to you or your recipients. You can even type your own custom greeting, quotation, or text on your postage stamps.

Fortunately, designing your own Christmas postage stamps is indeed possible, courtesy of the United States Postal Service! All you need in order to get started are:

- Internet access from a PC

- A printer (doesn't matte if it is color or black and white)

- A weighing scale

- Printer label paper on adhesive backing

- A digital image (either of your own design or which you imported or downloaded)

Once you design your stamp, you will then pay for your postage online, and then print out your stamps, which you then finally affix to your envelopes or packages, and you are ready for delivery!

Learn how to add some holiday cheer to your holiday greeting cards by printing your own Christmas postage stamps.
