Everett Washington, an All-American City, is a rich landscape of personal choices. We have a vast variety of activities for the active family.
Some of the best salmon and steelhead fishing in the world can be found in Washington. Use your own rig or rely on charter fishing which is available out of the Everett Marina, the second largest marina on the West Coast.
We also have the Everett Silver Tips ice hockey team that calls Comcast arena or the Everett Events Center home. Many high profile singers and entertainers also use the Everett Events Center on a regular basis.
Everett, Washington is also home to the AquaSox minor league team, an affiliate of the Seattle Mariner organization. Ken Griffey Jr. got his start right here in Everett.
I love it here and have been a resident all my life. I have traveled to many destinations around the globe and visited many states in the US. Washington is right up their with the best. The weather is just right although some of you might have to get used to a little more rain. As I write this, it is raining right now. That's why they call this the Evergreen State, plenty of green!
I sell real estate in Everett, Wa and can tell you it is a great investment. Sure, real estate values vary and there will be some highs and lows but overall, Everett is a great place to invest in your first or next home. My first home in Everett cost $12,900 in 1973 and was resold in 2003 for $350,000.
Recently, I took a look a median real estate home values for Everett, Wa in the summer of 2003 and the chart showed they were around $200,000 +/- . Recently, they rose above $300,000 in 2007 and have slightly dipped below the $300,000 level. I don't see any panic involving this area yet, as I am current with the local market, having sold real estate full time for the past 4 years.
There are still some bargains to be found in the Everett, Washington real estate market. As of today, May 13, 2008- it is currently a moderate to strong buyers market. When buying real estate in the Everett, Wa area - be sure to use a full time agent that stays current with market trends.
