List Building - Should It Be Outsourced? Part 2

In part one of this series we discussed that building a targeted list is the responsibility of the list owner. It gives them the ability to target their list in a way that others will not give attention to. It will allow the list builder the chance to see if his list is willing to pay for items online and will allow him or her to get to know the characteristics of those in his or her niche so that they can better market to this niche.

Though the building of your list should not be outsourced, this would include the building of the information on your squeeze page, the selecting of your signup bonuses, and the selecting of ads, articles, and the like that will point people to your page, there are aspects that can be outsourced and still leave you in control of your list building endeavors.

You can and should outsource things that you are not knowledgeable in. Things that can take up to much time and free you up for other things. Though list building is very important and is your responsibility, the information you use in building your list can and many cases should be outsourced. You should have your finger of control on the information but you should permit others to handle the details. For instance, one way many use to bring subscribers to their sites is through Article writing. This is were you write an article and submit it to a article directory that others pick up and use on their websites. This brings in traffic to your site because it allows people to see you and what you have written. But should you write these articles? In some cases yes, but you must consider, do you know what you are writing about? Are you a good writer and speller? If so you may want to do it yourself. You may also want to consider how many article do you want to write? If you are going to submit hundreds of articles is your time better served by outsourcing it.

If you were to outsource your article writing to a professional it holds many benefits for you. You of course would be in control because you will tell them what to write about, knowing what your niche is interested in, but they will do all the leg work, the research and the writing. When they are finished they will present you with an original article that is yours to post and gather subscribers.

Another area you can outsource would be the creation of your squeeze page. If you don't know how to create a web page this may be necessary for you to do. For a small fee someone can create a squeeze page for you under your direction and approval. This to will free you up to do more important things such as project development.

You see in building your list you do not want to lose control of the content of your sites because that is how you control your list members. But it is possible to outsource the creation of that content as long as it is under your supervision.

Outsourcing your list building in this way will benefit you in two major ways

-It will free up your time so that you can focus on other aspects of your business. If you were to focus on the logistics of building your list and write all of your own articles, or post all of your advertising how many man hours will you spend doing that. Surely countless hours will be spent. But by outsourcing these things you will free up those hours, and be able to create more products or even spend more time with your family.

-The other benefit to outsourcing the content of your list building campaign would be quality. By finding good professional ghost writers for your articles, ads, squeeze pages and the like you will receive better quality than you may be able to achieve on your own. Many of you may not be writers or advertising specialists so instead of learning something that you don't enjoy or using valuable time on things that you don't understand you can get a professional to do these things for you. And get quality professional information that you control. This will also allow you to focus on what you do best and what is most important in your business and that is creating revenue.
