As You Tube becomes increasingly popular there are more and more internet marketers who are realising the potential of video marketing as a way of generating traffic for free in order to get more exposure for their products and services.
Since You Tube first launched in 2005 it has continued to grow at a phenomenal rate and is now one of the top five most viewed websites on the internet today. It has become one of the best innovations in the history of the internet and has changed the way people view videos online.
One of the best features is the technology that allows videos to stream very quickly so that they start playing almost immediately no matter what type of internet connection you have (unlike videos on other websites which can take many minutes to download before you can actually view them). This makes it far easier for people to view videos online which is one of the reasons why it has become so popular.
Another useful feature allows users to easily embed videos on HTML pages without having to actually host them on their own website. This is extremely useful if you want to add extra content to your website and make it more interactive so that visitors can listen to a message rather than just read text. So if you have a blog or a Squidoo lens you can embed a video to keep people on your website for longer.
Because they pay for all of the bandwidth and disk space to host all of the videos there really is no cost to the user so they can literally advertise their business and generate traffic for free. So once you have created the video and uploaded it to the website it will continue to generate traffic for many months and even years.
As You Tube is still relatively new its easy to get people to actually view your videos and you can achieve top rankings in the search results with little effort. If you are smart you can target specific keyword phrases and generate a constant stream of free targeted traffic for your website.
So if you want to get more exposure for your products and services without having to spend any money on advertising or buying traffic you should seriously consider using videos as part of your marketing campaign. Its one of the easiest ways to generate traffic for free on the internet and you can start using it immediately.
