As we've already discussed, if you want to make money with AdSense then you've got to concentrate and focus on your keywords. But what most people don't realize is that it's just as important WHERE you place those keywords as it is what keywords you use. If you really want to make money with AdSense then keyword placement is crucial to your success. It's a given that you'll want to use your keyword in the title of your article or blog post. That's one of the most important places to use it if you want the search engines to find it. However, you've got to use that keyword in the body of your article and it's important where you place it.Most people just put an AdSense block in the sidebar, or across the top of each post or they put a big block right in the middle of every article. In fact, it's fine if you do all three. Having more than one AdSense block on your site just increases the odds that someone will click through. However, there's one little secret that most marketers aren't aware of. And it can increase your click through rate a hundred times over. That secret involves keyword placement. The AdSense ads that are displayed on your site are triggered by the keywords that you use in your articles and blog posts. So if you use the keyword "Cheap Dog Collars" you're going to get ads that have something to do with "Dog Collars" and "Cheap Dog Collars".However, and this is the secret - the words in your content that are located closest to the AdSense block will be the greatest determining factor as to which AdSense ads are displayed. For example, if you have an AdSense block right at the top of each post, it will have ads that spin off the keyword in the title of that post. So if your post title is "Where to Buy Cheap Dog Collars" then the AdSense ads will be geared toward cheap dog collars.Where it gets a little bit trickier is when you have AdSense in your sidebar or in the middle of your article. If, in the middle of your article you're talking about Leather Dog Collars, and then you have an AdSense block and you resume writing about Plastic Dog Collars, then your AdSense ad is either going to reflect Leather or Plastic Dog Collars. That may be all well and good, but what if you WANT to attract ads that deal with cheap dog collars because they pay more per click? Then you need to make sure that the words located closest to your AdSense block are Cheap Dog Collars. So you see, it isn't enough just to say that you need to use your keyword in the title and then 3 or 4 times in the body of the article. The placement of those keywords is even more important if you want to pull up the highest paying ads. This is the ninth in a series of Make Money With AdSense articles that Beamer Anderson has written to help you make money online just by setting up simple AdSense sites.
