The 2008-2009 season was another disappointing season for the Los Angeles Clippers. While so many recent years seem to end up that way in Clipper nation, the upcoming season could be exciting. Led by Blake Griffin's arrival to town as the #1 overall draft pick, plus a much healthier cast, Los Angeles Clippers tickets could become a hot commodity in So Cal.Two young, athletic players will also have to show a lot of progression from impressive seasons last year. Al Thornton and Eric Gordon are bother capable of scoring 15 or more points on any given day, so if they can improve defensively they should get a lot of minutes. The veteran leadership was brought in last year, but due to injuries the team fell flat. Baron Davis is still the unquestioned leader who is now completely healthy. Marcus Camby can anchor the defense inside, while Chris Kahman is more of a scoring big man who can also provide quality minutes.Bench play has also been boosted to give Los Angeles Clippers tickets more value this upcoming season. Sebastian Telfair, Craig Smith and Rasual Butler are all newcomers who came over thanks to the dumping of Zack Randolph. All three are capable, younger players who can bring quality minutes off the bench. The biggest strength for the Clippers this year will be inside play. To make it far in the Western Conference, you have to be able to compete inside. Camby, Kahman, Smith and DeAndre Jordan should be able to do this.Their main weakness will once again be their ability to stay healthy. It is a little unsettling that Griffin plays recklessly throughout the game, opening him up for injuries. Los Angeles Clippers ticket sales would go south like last year if the 2nd team ends up being the starters. While you shouldn't expect Los Angeles Clippers tickets to be hotter than the Laker tickets this year at Staples, the 2nd team in LA should have a formidable team to contend for a playoff spot if they can stay healthy. They will have a lot of young talent, plus a few talented veterans.
