In order to gain decent distance, you will need to learn exactly how to grip a golf club to fulfill this. I'm sure by now you have been playing golf for awhile and know the 3 grips very well, so I will not cover that topic again in this article. Before you make your swing, simply do this quick checklist to see if your grip is accurate or not:You want to check how hard you are holding your grip. If your grip is either too strong or too weak, you may cause a slice. You do not have to squeeze the life out of your club to hit a good solid shot. The manufactured grip is designed to keep the club in your hand so if you keep a neutral grip to swing, the club will not fly out on it's own.You also want to check that when you close your left hand, the club is held in place by your first 2 fingers and the palm of your hand. Your left hand is more active in your swing (right-handed golfers), so we have to pay special attention to ensure that the grip is correct. At the address of the ball, if you look down, you should only be able to see 2 knuckles of your left hand. A friend standing directly in front of you should only see the same thing as well. If your fingers are not positioned correctly, you will want to work on this before you make your backswing and not during.Take the effort out of golf and just enjoy the game. When you know all the little secrets, you will be amazed at how well you will be able to play.
