Take note of the following items and remember how much they cost you:-The AOL CD you found in your mailbox
-Taking a new car out for a test drive
-Listening to your favorite song on the radioOf course, they were all free. That’s marketing, not selling. Marketing prepares you to buy; it grooms you into buying. If you’ve been effectively marketed, you sell yourself.Giving attracts. Zig Ziglar says that if you give enough people what they want, you’ll get what you want. Real marketing begins when you give people what they want and need. Offering free solutions to their problems will attract them.If you’re trying to bring fellow network marketers into your company, remember that they’re facing the same problems you are. They want to build a larger and more effective downline that will increase their business. Help them begin to solve this problem by learning as much as you can about how to do it; then, give it away. That will attract them. The MLM “tradition” is to sell the company, products and compensation plan to prospects. The very last thing you want to discuss is your company. Don’t “chase and pitch”. Try marketing by giving away. There are so many web sites that are right up front looking to sell you on something. Ultimately, you are trying to do the same thing; that’s business and it’s the real world. However, you should begin your marketing by giving away. When you do, this will happen:-You’ll stand out in the crowd of “hawkers”
-You’ll build trust
-You’ll be perceived as an expert
-You’ll build new relationships
-You’ll soon have prospects looking for your help
Use whatever tool you can find to give information away:-Blogs
-Forums/Groups
-E-Zine articles
-Web pages
Whatever it is you are trying to have network marketers buy or buy into - retail/affiliate products or your MLM company - you have to earn the right to have them listen to you by giving away what they need. Make this process a priority; it will attract them like a magnet.Philip Bourdon developed his love for writing and communication during almost 20 years serving as a Pastor.
