Article by David Cassell

Can you imagine how disgusting it would be to have someone spit in your food and then having to eat it. Ughh, the very thought of it repulses me. Well, it is a similar thing that is happening with your tap water.

The water provided by the municipal water supply is not as clean and healthy as it should be. You need pure water technology if you want to be able to enjoy the quality water you deserve.

So what exactly is happening to tap water? Well, research done by various groups have found pharmaceutical drugs in drinking water and even rocket fuel.

And even though these contaminants may be in trace amounts, consuming them over a period of time could wreak havoc on your health. Cancer, Alzheimer's, fertility problems, learning disabilities are just a few of the ailments that have been linked to drinking water contaminants.

From time to time, some of these contaminants have led to instant death. Waterborne parasites that get into our water supply that cause fatalities fairly quickly. This was the case in Milwaukee in 1993, when there was a cryptosporidium outbreak that resulted in 100 people dead.

But what about chlorine in water you ask? Isn't this suppose to make water safe to drink? Well, yes and no. Chlorine kills bacteria but it reacts with other stuff in tap water to for by-products which are very harmful to your long term health.

Not to mention, chlorine is harmful to your hair and skin. Look what happens when you go swimming in a pool. See how dry you skin and hair is.

Now it may be impractical to expect your municipal water authority to remove every contaminant from your drinking water.

Therefore, by getting pure water technology, read that as a home water treatment system, you'll give your family an extra layer of protection from the most troublesome of water contaminants. Not to mention, home treated water taste and smell great.

There are many pure water technology devices that are capable of removing volatile organic chemicals (VOC), Trihalomethanes (THm), pathogens and heavy metals. Various systems can remove some contaminants better than others but with some research, you can choose a filter that best suits your needs.

The matter of having purehome water is not something you should take for granted. Sure, drinking unfiltered water may not have an immediate impact on your health. But over the long term, drinking it could be disastrous to your health.
