Do you remember that book called; "Emotional IQ," well, have you ever wondered what your emotional IQ would be online? Why, well, because things are quite different online especially when working in social media. You have to handle things different and you can't use body language, voice inflection, posits in his speech, or facial expression.

You have very few clues into what the other person is thinking based on their words. Further, many people do not do well online, they are not be good at written expression, and they often make mistakes or say something other than what they actually mean.

Thus, it is sometimes hard to figure out what somebody is getting at. Often, a complement looks like a criticism, or vice versa. This makes things very difficult, but as you work and play online more, and meet other people from different cultures, different areas of the country or even different parts of the world you start to get a hang of a new way of doing things.

This is what I mean by social online IQ. Have you tested your social media IQ today? If not maybe you should and, or at least maybe you should think about what I'm saying here. If you've made mistakes online, or misinterpreted others who eventually got upset with you, that is understandable, it is a learning process and you shouldn't dwell on it or worry about it, rather you should try to prevent it in the future.

Sometimes it's more interesting to understand the social dynamics that occur online, then get entangled into an argument with someone who actually agrees with you, which is often the case if you follow Internet forums, chat rooms, or online blog comments. I hope you will please consider all this.
