What is the best way to travel through the Galaxy or Universe? How about moving thru space by standing still, perhaps like the World Wide Telescope, but by using a Galactic Positioning System map. How so you ask? Well, let me explain a thought to you.

Since everything is in motion, you can travel, by merely staying put, an energy force that interrupted all the forces acting upon you would mean everything else moves, but you don't. For instance, the Earth spins at 632 mph or something like that. So if you stood still at 20,000 feet you would move that fast. But the Earth runs around the Sun at 17,000 mph, so if you stay put you move at either 17,632 mph or 16,238 mph, or depending on the direction of everything and your orientation somewhere in between that. But the entire solar system moves at 42,000 miles per hour, see the point? And how fast does the Milky Way, move around the entire over all system?

Where do you want to go today?

Next, then decide how much energy you need to disrupt, how much of the system that you want to. Maybe disrupt 1/3, 50%, 75% or 100% or 150% to place you at a point, at a black hole, beyond the event horizon inside or on the other side or thru it. This strategy can be used in addition to, any other propulsion strategies that humans devise in the future or whatever communication devices, VR schemes, robotic space vehicles they adapt, discoveries made or things learned thru trial, error, or observation.
