Let’s face it we all like free stuff but when it comes to computer safety and the protection of all your files and information should you really trust a free product? There have been an increasingly amount of reports that indicate as much as 75% of the free spyware scanners and removers actually infect computers with their own spyware. This has caused people to be victims of identity theft and viruses which can lead up to thousands of dollars worth of damage either in restoring a stolen identity or buying a new computer.
As a computer tech people constantly are coming to me with computer problems and many of them were caused by the latest and greatest free products. Don’t get me wrong there are good quality free products but sorting the fact from crap products is a royal pain.
The other negative factor with using free spyware remover products is the support provided for them is minimal. Many times there simply is no support or if you’re lucky there may be a faq that generally does not cover the issue the free spyware remover product has caused with your system. You can forget about email or phone support over half the time the emails to the support department bounce or go unanswered and you the pc user is left angry and confused.
In conclusion I strongly suggest people avoid using free spyware removers, anti-virus, anti spam and other products that are vital tools to computer security. See my resource box for the one program I recommend to all my clients that removes spyware and provides excellent tech support.
Come find out why PC techs recommend this product to their customers when scanning and removing spyware.
