Niche book stores are designed for the customers who want a vast inventory of books all on the same subject matter. The religious book store is an excellent example of how you can carve out a successful business in a highly competitive market. Often times large commercial book stores don't carry the full inventory of books and tapes and this opens up an opportunity to serve a market in demand.

In addition to the "brick and mortar" stores, there are quite a few audio book stores opening up every day covering every topic under the sun. For audio book fans, this is welcome news. Why is this great idea? For starters, you now have the ability to listen to your favorite book anytime you want on your favorite MP3 player. Additionally, you'll always have a fresh copy of your digital book stored on either your computer or perhaps at the members area of your audio book store. What's more, you'll no longer have to deal with scratched CD's or broken cassettes tapes. I can't begin to tell you how many audio books I've purchased that I can no longer find or no longer work so this format is welcome to many.
